LWS Scholarship Program

Not everyone who is ready for ceremony can afford it. This program is designed to provide an opportunity to those people while preserving the sincerity of the practice.

Part of what makes our ceremonies a safe and beneficial container for this sacred work is the investment of the participant. In addition to the intake process and preparation, money is generally a convenient and reciprocal method of ensuring this. However, acts of service to the community are a potential alternative to the financial route.

How it works:

  1. Choose an organization that provides structured, verifiable opportunities to be of service. Use the search engines and examples provided below or research your own to find one.

  2. Submit a proposal via the Scholarship Application found below.

  3. We will follow up with questions, suggestions, or approval.

  4. Once your service hours are completed/verified and we have available funds, we will provide a coupon code to sign up for ceremony. Generally, we are looking for 10 hours of volunteer work per ceremony scholarship, depending on the type of service (5 hours for Kambo Ceremonies).

To make this sustainable, we are also reaching out to donors that have the ability to fund these scholarships in the following ways:

  • Making a donation of any amount to our scholarship fund

  • Sponsoring specific individuals

Not Sure How to Find a Volunteer Opportunity?

Use search engines to find options. Be aware that some have minimum duration requirements, and an application or screening process.

Inquire within your own community.

  • Visit cultural and community centers

  • Ask your local co-op grocery about their charity partners

  • Inquire at your work or learning place

  • Food shelves and homeless shelters have an ongoing need

*We ask that it be from a reputable organization that can provide 3rd-party verification of your service, description of your activities and how many hours. (Can’t use your own personal services as volunteer hours unless it’s run by a 3rd party)

*Please don’t submit proposals for volunteering you have already completed.
